Vaha's Post - Netball

On Thursday the 5th of May, Room 22 had their very first netball session with one of the netball helpers called Emma. We have it every Thursday after lunch from 2 o'clock to 2.40 at our school netball court outside the stuff room.

Our first netball session, we did a whole lot of dynamic stretches. We did bum flicks, high knees and also the grapevine. After learning all these dynamic stretches I can now use them when I’m getting ready for my netball game or when I’m training.

To finsh of our session we had a good game of corner ball.  Corner ball is smiliar to netball but instead of 7 players we split into two teams of 16 players. Also to score a goal, a player from each team had to jump into the corner that was surrounded by small cones and catch the ball. The game was fun and it also went well.

Our session went well and I also enjoyed it.  I really can’t wait for our next session.

Vaha's Quiz

As part of our studies about ‘Mighty Teen Mariners’ our class is looking at the Multiple Intelligences. We used our interpersonal intelligence and we put together a little quiz for you. We are looking at Blooms Taxonomy also and have shown our understanding of what we have learnt by ‘Creating’ the quiz.
Why don’t you check it out because you might even learn something new from these questions. You can answer the questions in the comments box and we’ll let you know if you answered correctly.
ENJOY!

Student Reflections

The students were asked to reflect on a number of things related to creating their DLO. This is the same group that has their movies and rubric posted below. Here's what they had to say...

They also had to think about what they would do differently next time, how they could use 'new' information/knowledge in real life situations or future classroom situations, were they given enough time to complete their DLO?

Keep an eye out for their new 'full reflection' posts where each student will individually answer each reflection question.

DLO of the Term- The Pt England Way Korero.

Last term the students were asked to make movies showing their understanding of some of the korero that helps our students remember the 'Pt England Way'. Students worked in groups and were assessed on a number of things.
The post you are about to see is the 'top' DLO of the class. If you check the rubric (above), you will see their final assessment.
Please leave comments for the students on their own blogs, they would love to hear from you :)

Well done Tracey, Feki, Mauina, Vaha and Ngaina. All your hard work paid off.
