We are the Champions my friends...!

“Do you have NZ champions in your school?” We do! Our Yr 8 Boys Rugby Sevens team travelled to Tauranga to compete in the 2011 Aims Games. We won the Rugby Sevens competition. We played 12 games and won them all. For winning this tournament we received the 2011 Rugby Sevens Champions Cup along with first place medals. There were also 6 players from our team that made the Aims Games Tournament team. The Tournament team has 12 players in it. The players were chosen from 32 different teams. Here is a movie that we have put together to show you some High-Lights from our week. Posted by Raven & Charm (Players AND selected Aims Games Tournament Team members)

  1. Hi Tuitalau,
My name is Cassie Giles and I am a student in the United States at the University of South Alabama. I am currently enrolled in a class called EDM310 and I was assigned to comment on your blog. First of all congratulations to your Rugby team, looks like that is a really tough game. We don't have much rugby in south Alabama, but my family and I do watch it on t.v. sometimes. My son is seven years old and he plays football. I think he would enjoy rugby because he loves to be rough, but we don't have any youth league ruby teams around. Maybe one day when he is older he will get to experience other parts of the country and our world where there is a more diverse culture and activities. I think it is wonderful that your class makes use of blogging and technology. I know this will help you prepare for the future and give you great insight to the digital world. Keep up the good work. Congratulations again, and yes you are the champions in more than just rugby. :)

Wow 32 schools and six were picked from your school!! That incredible!! Congratulations!! A good friend of mine plays for a Rugby team and he loves it. He has competitions around the United States. Do you play? He has had some pretty bad bumps and bruises. I hope you are careful if you play! Do you have any brothers or sisters? What do you want to do when you grow up? Well good luck with school, I hope to hear from you soon.
